Qualifications

  • Must have relevant credentials (e.g., ARRT, RCIS).

Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs. As an integral part of the Cath Lab team, the Technologist assists physicians with a variety of procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. The Technologist operates specialized equipment during procedures, provides direct care for patients throughout the procedural process, and maintains a safe, sterile environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, LPN, Surgical Tech, or Paramedic program
  • Must have one of the following credentials: (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (CCT) Certified Cardiographic Technician, (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist, LPN, Certified Surgical Technologist, or State Paramedic Certification
  • RCIS or ARRT – must obtain within 2 years of hire
