Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital seeks a Cath Lab Tech PRN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the catheterization labs. You will assist physicians during various cardiology procedures, including angiograms and stent placements. The ideal candidate is a Vocational School Graduate with experience in cardiovascular technology or related fields and holds necessary certifications. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and sterile environment, ensuring the well-being of patients throughout their procedural journey.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Must have one of the specified credentials including ARRT-R, CCT, or RCIS.
• RCIS or ARRT - Must obtain within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures.

Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs. As an integral part of the Cath Lab team, the Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians with a variety of procedures, such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. The Cath Lab Technologist operates specialized equipment during procedures, provides direct care for patients throughout the procedural process, and maintains a safe, sterile environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, LPN, Surgical Tech or Paramedic program.
• Must have one of the following credentials: (ARRT-R) Radiography, (CCT) Certified Cardiographic Technician, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist, LPN, Certified Surgical Technologist, or State Paramedic Certification.
• RCIS or ARRT - Must obtain within 2 years of hire.

About the Hospital

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care facility offering a full range of services. The hospital hosts the area’s Heart Institute, an experienced interventional and therapeutic program that includes open-heart surgery. Other services include labor and delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, diagnostic services, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, a certified primary stroke center, a CARF-accredited Physical Rehabilitation Center, a Level II trauma center, and a freestanding emergency department in Vero Beach. The hospital also provides Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care units.
