Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in the catheterization labs. The role involves assisting physicians with angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements, while operating cath lab equipment and maintaining a sterile, safe environment.

The ideal candidate will possess ACLS/BCLS certifications with timeline adherence and applicable radiography or cardiovascular certifications.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• Certificate or license in a relevant allied health field.
• Board certifications such as RCIS, RDCS, RDCS or equivalent must be obtained within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in the cath lab.
• Operate specialized cath lab equipment during procedures.
• Provide direct patient care throughout the procedural process.
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment in the cath lab.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs. As an integral part of the Cath Lab team, the Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians with a variety of procedures, such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. The Cath Lab Technologist operates specialized equipment during procedures, provides direct care for patients throughout the procedural process, and maintains a safe, sterile environment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certificate
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Paramedic, or (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
