Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in North Texas is seeking a Radiologic Technologist or RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. This PRN position works under the direction of the supervisor and physician to support technical aspects and patient care.

Education should include graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist program or RCIS program, or current RCIS student status. Licensure requires RT(R) with ARRT or RCIS, plus BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or RCIS program.
• RCIS program completion or current RCIS student status.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision.
• Support cath lab operations and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain equipment and prepare for cases.

Job Purpose

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or
• RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience:

• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
