Job summary

Methodist Health System seeks a PRN Radiologic Technologist specialized for the cardiac cath lab. You will assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician, contributing to high-quality imaging and patient care.

Requirements include RT(R) licensure or RCIS, BLS and ACLS, and 1 year cath lab experience preferred. Eligible candidates may be licensed or current RCIS students pursuing credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or RCIS program.
• Current student in approved RCIS program.
• Licensure: RT(R) and/or RCIS with BLS and ACLS

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision.
• Support physicians and staff in the cardiac cath lab and imaging suites.

Job Purpose

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or
• RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience:

• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
