Job summary

Confidential at Methodist Southlake Medical Center in North Texas is seeking a Radiologic Technologist or RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision.

Education required includes graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist or RCIS program, or current RCIS student status. BLS and ACLS are required; ARRT(R) license or RCIS certification is expected; 1 year cath lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program.
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program.
• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision and physician direction.
• Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and sterile field.
• Support post-procedure cleanup and documentation.

Job Purpose

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program

Licenses and/or Certifications

• R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or
• RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience

• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
