Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in North Texas seeks a Radiologic Technologist with RCIS credentials to join the cardiac cath lab team. You will assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of supervision and physicians, and help maintain lab equipment and sterile technique.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT RT(R) or RCIS certification (or RCIS enrollment within 12 months), current BLS and ACLS, and have about 1 year of cath lab experience. PRN, Mon-Fri schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or RCIS program.
• R.T. (R) through ARRT and Texas Medical Board or RCIS certification, or RCIS within 12 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision.
• Support cath lab team and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain equipment and ensure sterile technique

Job Purpose

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or
• RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience:

• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
