Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program OR equivalent training/education program for required certification/licensure.
• ARRT certification or eligibility; must be board certified within six months of hire OR graduate of Cardiac Intervention Program with registration/registry eligibility; ACLS required within six months (Rockford Only); NIHSS required within six months (Rockford Only); CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and consent; review allergies and contrast history.
• Prepare patient/equipment for sterile technique; monitor and record procedural data.
• Ensure medication/contrast agent dosages are correct with nursing staff and physician; scrubbing with sterile technique.
• Provide post-procedural care; participate in Quality Assessment & Improvement; uphold radiation safety and exposure limits.
• Duties include on-call rotations and holiday coverage.
