Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL seeks a Technologist to support Interventional Radiology and the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will prepare equipment, maintain sterile fields, assist physicians, monitor patients, and help ensure safety and quality during fast-paced procedures.

This full-time day shift role includes variable hours with occasional weeknight on-call and weekend on-call. Requires radiography credentials, ARRT certification or eligibility, ACLS/CPR, NIHSS, and adherence to radiation safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training.
• Board certified ARRT or eligible to take boards (must be certified within six months).
• ACLS required within six months of hire (Rockford Only).
• NIHSS required within six months of hire (Rockford Only).
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and signed informed consent prior to procedures.
• Prepare patient and equipment using sterile technique for procedures.
• Assist physicians during IR and Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
• Monitor patient status and maintain procedural data and logs.
• Provide post-procedural care and uphold radiation safety practices.
