Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures. The role requires sterile technique, patient preparation, and documentation in the EMR.

Certifications and state licensure considerations apply, with ACLS/BLs preferences. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, ensuring safety, and applying knowledge of vascular anatomy to correlate lab results with other hospital procedures.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required
• BLS required (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care)
• ACLS preferred
• ARRT- cardiovascular-interventional radiography (R.T.(R)(CV)) or VA-R radiography (preferred)
• State licensure preferred where required

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed practitioner in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures to minimize anxiety.
• Review patient information in electronic medical records and document critical findings.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to safety and infection control policies.
• Demonstrate vascular exam proficiency and knowledge of anatomy with correlation to other hospital tests.
