Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an IR Lab Technologist to support the Interventional Radiology Lab at the Rockford campus. The role prepares equipment, maintains sterile fields, assists physicians, and monitors patients in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include verifying patient consent and allergies, preparing sterile supplies, scrubbing into procedures, monitoring fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, and providing post-procedural care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training.
• Board certified ARRT or eligible to take boards (within 6 months).
• ACLS within 6 months and PALS within 1 year (Rockford only).
• Cardiac intervention program experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and consent for procedures.
• Review allergies and contrast history prior to procedures.
• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment; maintain sterile field.
• Scrub into procedures using sterile technique as required.
• Monitor fluoroscopy time and radiation doses; ensure safety limits.
• Provide post-procedural care and patient comfort.
