Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures with attention to radiation safety and image quality.
• Prepares patients, positions for the exam, administers contrast when necessary.
• Enters and monitors patient data and ensures proper documentation.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment and supports accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to department management.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Adheres to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures and standards within budgetary specs.
• Promotes professional growth and ensures competency through continuing education and mentoring.
