Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures.
• Prepares patients for exams, explains procedures, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients and selects imaging techniques.
• Ensures technical quality of radiographic images and maintains equipment and room readiness.
• Enters and monitors patient data and assists with QA on radiology equipment.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards, manages time and resources, and supports department goals.
• Mentors less experienced staff and pursues ongoing professional development.

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support

Current license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)

Registered Radiology Technologist by the ARRT-R
