Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).

Responsibilities

• Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures; prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects imaging techniques, and ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment; may assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to department management.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards within budgetary constraints.
• Promotes professional growth and acts as preceptor/mentor to staff.
• Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of the community with compassionate, personalized experiences.
• Other duties as assigned.
