Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to take radiologic films and assist physicians during invasive procedures. The role requires preparing patients, managing equipment, and ensuring image quality in a fast-paced radiology department.

Schedule includes one 10-hour shift per week starting at 7am or 8am. Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with BLS, MRT license, and ARRT-R credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).

Responsibilities

• Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures; prepares patients, explains procedure, administers contrast, positions patients, selects imaging techniques and ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment and assists with initial/renewal applications for accreditation.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to department management.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and budgetary specs.
• Promotes professional growth, mentoring, and supports department goals; provides safe, personalized experiences.
