Job summary

NC State University’s NC State Dining is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Raleigh to lead the catering transportation and beverage/equipment teams. You will manage schedules, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate fleet operations for events across campus.

You will drive vehicles for deliveries, supervise staff, and maintain inventory while upholding safety and service standards in a fast-paced university environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising catering transportation or service teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the catering transportation and beverage/equipment teams, using departmental software to manage schedules and communicate across university levels.
• Develop, distribute and monitor daily delivery and transportation schedules for events.
• Drive various delivery vehicles to execute catering and dining deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload cargo, assist with event setup and breakdown, and ensure timely execution.
• Maintain a clean, safe fleet; establish driver training and record-keeping; oversee maintenance per guidelines.
• Oversee inventory control of catering supplies and equipment.
