Qualifications

• At least two years of hotel industry experience, with experience in catering, convention services, banquets, hotel sales, or culinary arts.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organization, time management, follow-up, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of the local market and a results-driven approach to sales.

Responsibilities

• Sell catering and event business across all market segments.
• Build and maintain client relationships while developing new business opportunities.
• Create and execute weekly sales plans, follow up on tentative business, and maintain existing accounts.
• Respond to client inquiries and correspondence promptly and professionally.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, and revenue opportunities while protecting property interests and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Understand property operations and capabilities to ensure successful event execution.
• Coordinate with sales and operations teams to meet client expectations.
• Monitor market trends and business performance to adapt sales strategies.
• Complete sales reports, systems, and departmental tasks accurately and on time.
• Follow marketing initiatives and established departmental standards.
• Manage client concerns and interpersonal conflicts professionally.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to oversee events as needed.
