Job summary

Populus, a flagship property of Crescent Hotels & Resorts in Denver, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive catering business from first contact to post-event follow-up. You will build corporate and social market relationships, shape menus with culinary teams, and ensure seamless execution from sale to service.

The role requires catering/event sales experience, strong negotiation, and flexible hours for events, with opportunities to influence sustainability storytelling in offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in catering sales, event sales, or similar hospitality sales role.
• Knowledge of food/beverage service standards and event operations.
• Ability to assess client needs, negotiate terms with warmth.
• Evenings and weekends availability when events require it.
• Ability to move throughout the property for site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new catering business and strengthen relationships with corporate and social markets.
• Meet clients, conduct property tours, present facilities and services.
• Develop menus with the Executive Chef matched to client occasion and budget.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and maintain account records.
• Coordinate event details across Culinary, Banquets, Engineering and Rooms.
• Attend event setup and remain through execution, resolving issues on site.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly catering and sales reporting.
