Job summary

Eataly North America is seeking a Catering Lead to plan, organize and execute catering for our Millburn location. You will create proposals and packages tailored to guest requests, negotiate partnerships, and manage events from start to finish.

This role requires you to oversee off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, train team members, and coordinate daily staffing needs. Availability for flexible scheduling including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in catering/sales management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fluid environment.

Responsibilities

• Creates catering proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest's requests.
• Negotiates executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and large-scale events.
• Oversees catering events from start to finish: books, plans and executes functions.
• Executes all off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, coordinating delivery services and pickup.
• Acts as a trainer for team members on catering operations.
• Communicates product and staffing needs for catering events on a daily basis.
• Manages catering call-backs from orders delivered same day to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
• Ensures catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times: catering menus, catering table, business cards, etc.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

The Catering Lead plans, organizes and executes the catering business for an Eataly location. Reports to the Retail Manager.

• Handles and resolves complaints/accolades and communicates results to managers
• Ensures catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times: catering menus, catering table, business cards, etc.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• 2+ years of experience in catering/sales management
• Excellent communication skills

• Bachelor's Degree preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work a flexible scheduling often including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
