Job summary

Eataly West Palm Beach is seeking a Market Lead to coordinate stock, display, and guest service across our retail and catering operations. You will supervise associates, collaborate with Warehouse, manage FIFO, and support events to ensure outstanding shopping experiences.

This onsite role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication, and a passion for Italian food and hospitality, guiding guests and driving sales while maintaining safety and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of grocery experience.
• Proactive and able to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Italian food and beverage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, rotates and faces products according to department procedure and merchandizing standards
• Collaborates with Warehouse team to maintain stock levels, organizing back stock and warehouse storage effectively and efficiently
• Follows order and inventory procedures and receives deliveries, verifying order and invoice accuracy
• Assists with delegating tasks, supervising, training and motivating Market Associates
• Maintains accurate department signage, pricing and labelling
• Rotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
• Inspects shelves and immediately removes expired or damaged merchandise
• Communicates grocery needs, adjustments and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Assesses departmental food waste with department heads and diverts waste to donations
• Maintains safe and cleanly work conditions and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessary
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
• Coordinates catering needs with all store departments
• Maintains relationships with existing customer base through follow-up phone calls, promotional food delivery, and daily order follow-up
• Manages daily administrative responsibilities
• Handles in-store consulting for special events and large catering orders
• Communicates with call center, managers and clients on a regular basis to ensure excellent execution
• Partners with Guest Relations, Grocery, and Events & Education to coordinate product demos
• Performs other duties as required

Job Description

At Eataly, this position is referred to as a Market Lead. The Market Lead serves as a liaison between Market team members and the Market Manager to ensure that merchandise is properly stocked and displayed attractively across Eataly’s retail department. The Market Lead promotes exceptional guest service on the retail team, using interpersonal skills and product knowledge to drive sales and improve guest satisfaction. Reports to the Market Manager.

Market/Retail Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to use a hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder and cleaning supplies
