Job summary

Eataly Chicago is seeking a Catering Lead (Full-Time) to plan, organize and execute our catering business. You will create proposals, contracts and event orders tailored to guest requests, and you will oversee events from start to finish.

Responsibilities include coordinating on-site and off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, training team members, and communicating staffing needs daily to ensure 100% guest satisfaction. Flexibility for nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in catering/sales management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fluid environment, cross-functionally with different departments.
• Availability to work flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.

• Negotiate executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and large-scale events.
• Oversee catering events from start to finish: books, plans and executes functions.
• Execute all off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, coordinating delivery services and pickup business.
• Act as a trainer for team members on catering operations.
• Communicate product and staffing needs for catering events daily.
• Manage catering call-backs from orders delivered same day to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle and resolve complaints/accolades and communicate results to managers.
• Ensure catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times.

The Catering Lead plans, organizes and executes the catering business for Eataly Chicago. Reports to the Private Dining Manager.

• Creates proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest’s requests
• Negotiates executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and largescale events

• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

• Availability to work a flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is $22.00-$24.00 hourly
