Job summary

Eataly in West Palm Beach is seeking a Market Lead to bridge the Market team and Market Manager, ensuring attractive stock display and exceptional guest service. You will promote sales through product knowledge and efficient operations in the retail department.

The role requires at least 1 year in grocery, strong multitasking, and the ability to manage stock, inventory, and events. Onsite work with a focus on community engagement and quality products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in grocery.
• Proactive and able to multitask.
• Knowledge of Italian food and beverage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, rotates and faces products according to department procedure and merchandising standards.
• Collaborates with the Warehouse team to maintain stock levels and organize back stock.
• Receives deliveries and verifies order and invoice accuracy.
• Supervises and motivates Market Associates and delegates tasks.
• Maintains department signage, pricing and labeling.
• Rotates products using FIFO principles and removes expired merchandise.
• Communicates needs and issues to the Market Manager promptly.
• Assists with catering needs and large events across store departments.
• Maintains relationships with customers through follow-up calls and daily orders.
• Handles daily administrative duties and in-store consultations for events.
• Ensures safe and compliant work conditions and sanitation.

Job Description

The Market Lead serves as a liaison between Market team members and the Market Manager to ensure that merchandise is properly stocked and displayed attractively across Eataly’s retail department. The Market Lead promotes exceptional guest service on the retail team, using interpersonal skills and product knowledge to drive sales and improve guest satisfaction. Reports to the Market Manager.

• Stocks, rotates and faces products according to department procedure and merchandizing standards
• Collaborates with the Warehouse team to maintain proper stock levels, organizing back stock and warehouse storage effectively and efficiently
• Follows order and inventory procedures and receives deliveries, verifying order and invoice accuracy
• Assists with delegating tasks, supervising, training and motivating Market Associates
• Maintains accurate department signage, pricing and labelling
• Rotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
• Inspects shelves and immediately removes expired or damaged merchandise
• Communicates grocery needs, adjustments and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently
• Assesses departmental food waste with department heads and diverts waste to donations
• Coordinates catering needs with all store departments
• Maintains relationships with existing customer base through follow-up phone calls, promotional food delivery, and daily order follow-up
• Manages daily administrative responsibilities
• Handles in-store consulting for special events and large catering orders
• Communicates with call center, managers and clients on a regular basis to ensure excellent execution
• Partners with Guest Relations, Grocery, and Events & Education to coordinate product demos
• Maintains safe and cleanly work conditions and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessary
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to use a hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder and cleaning supplies
