Job summary

Eataly North America seeks a Catering Lead to plan, organize, and execute the catering business for a location. You will create proposals, contracts, and packages tailored to each guest while negotiating executive partnerships for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and large-scale events.

You will oversee end-to-end catering operations, including on-site and off-site events, staff training, and daily communication of needs. Flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in catering/sales management.
• Ability to multitask in a fluid environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest’s requests.
• Negotiates executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and large-scale events.
• Oversees catering events from start to finish: books, plans and executes functions.
• Executes all off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, coordinating delivery services and pickup business.
• Acts as a trainer for team members on catering operations.
• Communicates product and staffing needs for catering events on a daily basis.
• Manages catering call-backs from orders delivered same day to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
• Handles and resolves complaints/accolades and communicates results to managers.
• Ensures catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times: catering menus, catering table, business cards, etc.

Job Description

The Catering Lead plans, organizes and executes the catering business for an Eataly location. Reports to the Retail Manager.

• Creates proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest’s requests
• Negotiates executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and largescale events

• Availability to work a flexible scheduling often including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
