Job summary

Air Culinaire Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Cook to join our on-site kitchen in Lakewood, CA. The role focuses on preparing hot and cold items to ACW standards, maintaining safety, and supporting catering orders.

You will work closely with kitchen staff, ensure quality, and participate in inventory and prep tasks as directed by management. The position requires a High School diploma and a current ServSafe certificate, with knife skills and a passion for culinary excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Current ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 45 days of hire.
• Must have knife/cutting skills.
• Must have an understanding of cooking techniques.
• Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering companies or its equivalent required, with experience in new culinary trends preferred.
• Demonstrate the ability to take orders and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated to assist in food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• The Cook will participate in training and directing new and existing Air Culinaire team members, ensuring all food, packaging, labeling, and allergens on trays are accurate and HACCP compliant.
• Provide feedback to Kitchen Management to monitor and improve quality.
• Assist in the butchering of meats and fish and with daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure all food preparations meet ACW specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen and monitor temperature logs, using gloves and safety practices.
• Assist in ordering, inventory and other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Use Shipday for all order logistics and delivery verification.
