Job summary

Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa in Clearwater Beach, FL is seeking an Event Sales Manager to solicit, book, plan and coordinate meetings and functions while maximizing banquet space to meet or exceed sales goals.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in hotel or catering management, strong Delphi, Excel/Word skills, and prior Hilton or OnQ experience is preferred. The role includes outside sales calls, networking, and coordinating with hotel departments to ensure flawless events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or event management or related field.
• Minimum two full years of employment in a related hotel or catering manager position.
• Prior Hilton experience preferred.
• Prior OnQ experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of Delphi required.
• High proficiency with Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, book, plan and coordinate meetings/functions while maximizing the banquet space to meet/exceed sales goals.
• Sell, book and finalize catering groups from start to finish.
• Service Events/Conferences as assigned by the DOCE.
• Execute a territorial marketing strategy to capture the maximum revenue and meet/exceed sales goals.
• Plan, upsell and detail the meeting/function/menus with clients including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc.
• Prepare status and period end reports for management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures and products and of the competition to improve sales strategies.
