Job summary

Elior's Constellation Culinary Group in Stamford, CT is seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate catered events. You will help select menu items, schedule staff, arrange facilities, and relay client needs to the sales, culinary and operations teams to ensure excellent service and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include updating CaterXpert data, reviewing floorplans, managing on-site staff, coordinating rentals and deliveries, and handling payments and event

Qualifications

• 3 years of catering/food-beverage and event experience.
• Very organized; able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and staff management abilities.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; solid math skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all event information in CaterXpert from the sales team is up to date and detailed before events.
• Review event floorplans, day-of supervisor packets, pack lists and rental equipment for accuracy.
• Communicate SCG procedures, standards and expectations to on-site staff and coordinate with culinary/operations teams.
• Assist in the setup and execution of events.
• Ensure rentals have scheduled deliveries/pickups convenient for venue managers.
• Maintain event calendar in Outlook; attend meetings and calls.
• Coordinate with sales, culinary and booking staff on menus and client needs.
• Process payments and deposits related to events; review weekly AR report.
• Troubleshoot on the fly and make quick judgment calls.
• Lead staff and discipline as needed.
• Follow up with photographers post-event for photos.
• Gather detailed information from general leads; handle event closeouts the following day.
• Send nightly event reminders to internal staff.
