Job summary

Elior North America in Stamford, CT is seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute catered events. You will work with the Senior Director of Sales to ensure client needs are translated into flawless on-site experiences.

Responsibilities include managing CaterXpert data, floorplans, vendor coordination, timelines, payments, and post-event follow-up. The role requires strong organizational skills, independence, and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• 3 years of catering/food-beverage and event experience.
• Very organized.
• Able to work independently and make the right decisions for the business.
• Basic PC knowledge and comprehension (Word & Excel).
• Basic math knowledge and comprehension (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).

Responsibilities

• Ensure event information in CaterXpert is up to date and fully detailed.
• Review event floorplans, supervisor packets, and rental equipment details.
• Communicate SCG procedures, standards and expectations to on-site staff.
• Assist in the setup and execution of events.
• Ensure event rentals have scheduled deliveries/pickups.
• Maintain calendar of events and attend necessary meetings.
• Communicate menus and client needs to staff.
• Oversee payments and deposits for contracted events and monitor AR.
• Handle on-site troubleshooting and quick decision-making.
• Manage staff and discipline as needed.
• Request post-event photos from photographers.
• Be first point of contact for general leads and gather details.
• Process event closeouts the day after events.
• Send nightly event reminders to staff.
