Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate catered events in Stamford, CT. You will liaise with sales, culinary and operations teams to meet client needs and ensure flawless execution.

Responsibilities include updating CaterXpert data, reviewing floorplans, and managing payments and AR. A Bachelor’s in Management and strong organizational skills are preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years of catering/food-beverage and event experience.
• Very organized.
• Able to work independently and make the right decisions for the business.
• Basic PC knowledge and Word & Excel.
• Basic math knowledge (fractions and percentages).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date catering event info in CaterXpert.
• Review floorplans, day-of supervisor packets, pack lists and rentals.
• Communicate procedures to on-site staff and teams.
• Assist in setup and execution of events.
• Ensure event rentals have scheduled deliveries/pickups.
• Maintain calendar of events and attend meetings.
• Coordinate with sales, culinary and booking staff on menus.
• Manage payments/deposits and AR review for events.
• Troubleshoot and make quick judgments on site.
• Manage staff and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Secure post-event photos and follow-up.
