Job summary

Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Director of Catering in Cambridge, MA. You will lead catering operations and events, manage staff, and strengthen client relations to deliver exceptional on-site catering in corporate settings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts and at least 5 years in hospitality with 2 years in management, including menu costing and contract pricing. Applicants should have strong leadership and cost-control skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in hospitality including 2 years in management (catering management)
• Experience booking, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment
• Ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees internal and external catering events
• Develops and maintains the catering marketing plan including event planning and menu development
• Hires, trains, and schedules catering staff and develops in-service techniques, menu presentation, policies & procedures
• Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor and foods cost control, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events
