Job summary

Canteen, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a highly organized Catering Director to lead a premier catering program across two campus cafés. This role focuses on delivering exceptional catering experiences, particularly for executive-level events, while aligning with culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution.

The Catering Director will work with the Executive Chef and Chef Manager to plan high-quality events and report to the Food & Beverage Director.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality, or foodservice management.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete catering process from initial inquiry through event execution, invoicing, and billing.
• Consult with customers to develop menus, coordinate event logistics, and accommodate special requests and dietary needs.
• Partner with the Executive Chef and Chef Manager to ensure exceptional food quality and seamless event execution.
• Oversee catering setup, presentation, and service standards, with a focus on executive and C-suite events.
• Develop innovative catering menus and seasonal offerings to enhance the guest experience.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and personalized service.
• Support café operations as needed to ensure overall operational success.
