Job summary

HUNGRY Marketplace in Gardena, CA is seeking dependable gig drivers to support events in nearby areas. Tasks include picking up equipment from a hub, collecting food from vendors, and delivering to client sites on a Tuesday or Thursday schedule from about 8:30am to 12pm.

You will use your own vehicle, have a valid license and insurance, and provide excellent guest service with strong communication and attention to detail. Compensation is roughly $22–$24 per hour plus 100% of client tips.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Food service, catering, or event experience a plus.

Responsibilities

The Gig:

• Days of Operations: Tuesdays & Thursdays from approximately 8:30am-12pm
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
• Pick up equipment at hub in Gardena, pick up food from vendor in Culver City, transport to client site in El Segundo and complete designated set up or drop off.
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests.
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed.
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events
• Ability to choose when and how much you work.

• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: Gig-Dependent (on average, equivalent to approximately $22-24/hr + 100% of Client Tips
