Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Lab Services Specialist to perform venipuncture and provide clinical support within our primary care framework at the Castro Street office in San Francisco. You’ll collaborate with providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate specimen collection and smooth patient care journeys.

The role emphasizes high-quality, human-centered care with a strong focus on teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability as workflows evolve with technology and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA and at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Provide venipuncture across age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Assist with extended scope duties: non-blood collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, swabs
• Maintain proper specimen labeling, handling, processing, inventory and sterilization
• Support providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties and patient communications
• Master technology tools like Slack, G-Suite, Zoom, and EMR 1Life for daily tasks
