The Clinical Laboratory at Zuckerberg San Francisco General provides laboratory testing services for inpatients and outpatients of ZSFG, Laguna Honda Hospital, District Health Centers and other facilities under the auspices of the SF Public Health Department. This position performs phlebotomy on outpatients using established venipuncture techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities include giving instructions to patients and healthcare providers for specimen collection.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical/clinical laboratory terminology.
• High school graduation or GED, and two years of appropriate experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform phlebotomy on outpatients using venipuncture techniques and procedures.
• Give instructions to patients and healthcare providers for specimen collection.
• Carry out clerical duties as needed.
• Work as part of the Clinical Laboratory team to support UCSF and ZSFG mission, vision and values.
