Job summary

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino is seeking a Cook to provide superior service and expertly prepare grilled, fried, broiled, and pantry items for daily menus.

The ideal candidate has basic cooking knowledge, the ability to follow recipes, and a minimum of one-year experience as a Cook Trainee or line cook, or a culinary degree/apprenticeship. This full-time role involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Typically acquired through minimum of one-year prior experience as a Cook Trainee or line cook, and/or through a culinary arts degree or recognized apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares foods to be grilled, fried, broiled, or pantry items; ensures plates are appealing and cooked to customer specifications.
• Recognizes various sauces and applies them to entrees on daily menus.
• Keeps workstation neat and clean and assists teammates for efficient line operation.
• Works in a kitchen environment with heat/noise and safety hazards; uses standard kitchen equipment.
