Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a proactive Cashier to enhance the customer experience and drive sales at the register and throughout the store. You will greet customers, assist with programs like rewards and gift cards, and support omni-channel initiatives while ensuring accurate checkout and merchandising standards.

In this role, you will handle returns, manage re-ticketing, and participate in inventory cycles, all while upholding shrink and safety standards and meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer service and resolving issues.
• Ability to assist customers with credit, rewards and gift card programs.
• Familiarity with omni-channel retail operations and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, promoting company programs and driving sales.
• Complete checkout processes, including returns and re-ticketing, and manage signage/merchandising at checkouts.
• Assist with Omnichannel efforts and inventory recovery/work, including annual stock processes.
• Meet performance standards for shrink, safety, attendance, and service metrics.
