What You'll Do:

As a Cashier, you'll be at the forefront of our customer service, ensuring a pleasant and efficient shopping experience. Your responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with Guests: Initiate friendly conversations, maintain eye contact, and make guests feel welcome and valued.
  • Handling Transactions: Scan items, process sales efficiently, and manage monetary transactions carefully.
  • Bagging Items: Pack items thoughtfully to ensure they arrive in good condition.
  • Staying Informed: Be aware of current promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
  • Maintaining Workstation: Keep your register area neat and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Communicating: Relay guest requests to the Guest Services team to ensure satisfaction.
  • Meeting Quality Standards: Ensure all standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Supporting Teamwork: Perform additional duties as needed to support the team.
  • Honoring Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences to arrange replacements.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed as a Cashier at Festival Foods, you should have:

  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and deliver outstanding service.
  • Retail Experience: Experience in processing transactions and handling cash and media at registers.
