Job Summary

Job Title: Wine and Spirits Cashier

Reports To: Wine and Spirits Department Manager

The role involves maintaining outstanding customer service, collaborating with all Wine and Spirits associates to ensure company policies are followed, and department goals are achieved. Associates will personalize guest experiences by providing expertise on wine and spirits products, including wine pairings and craft beers.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet department standards in the Wine and Spirits department.
  • Monitor sales floor and back stock, addressing opportunities.
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Coordinate with vendors, department manager, and associates to meet standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist guests in finding products.
  • Stay informed about promotions and advertisements.
  • Process transactions accurately and maintain cash/media at registers.
  • Handle special requests and orders.
  • Answer phone calls professionally.
  • Resolve guest concerns and issues.
  • Maintain orderly register area and supplies.
  • Support and execute superior customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and ensure timely attendance.
Qualifications
  • Contribute to cleanliness and organization of the work areas.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to sample products.
  • Effective communication and tactful customer interaction skills.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to recognize and react to safety hazards; trained in equipment use and safety.
  • Must be over 18 years old.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for long periods.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to operate equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to temperature variations.
Work Schedule

Varies including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
