Job summary

Smyth Companies is seeking a service-minded Credit and Collections Manager to lead our credit and collections function from Minneapolis, MN. You will own the full credit-to-cash cycle, partner with Accounting, and protect cash flow while supporting customer needs.

Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, you will drive risk assessment, onboarding, and ongoing credit activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing AR aging and collections processes.
• Ability to screen and monitor credit risk for customers.
• Onboard new customers and manage credit portals.
• Establish and track KPIs to improve collections performance.
• Report results to executive leadership and collaborate with accounting.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounts receivable aging process and drive collection results.
• Screen and monitor credit risk for new and existing customers.
• Onboard customers and manage ongoing credit portals.
• Establish KPIs and continuously improve collections performance.
• Report credit/collections metrics to leadership and management.
• Partner with Accounting to support broader financial operations.
