Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HDFS, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Knowledge of issues concerning the homeless population and experience working with low-income and homeless individuals and families.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional attitude and behavior.
• Abide by existing agency confidentiality policies.
• Perform all duties of the Social Service Assistant.
• Conduct client intake interviews for the Transitional Housing Program.
• Assist clients with identification and goal setting within the Transitional Housing Program.
• Conduct regular case management meetings with clients.
• Facilitate life skills or other group meetings.
• Maintain client charts according to agency guidelines.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary staffing and present clients as required.
• Ensure clients understand and adhere to program rules and expectations.
• Assist with special events and presentations.
• Provide ongoing reports and recommendations to the Director of Operations.
• Gather and maintain program statistics.
• Collect, edit and process required weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Suggest ideas for program improvement and assist with ongoing development.
