Job summary

GEO Reentry Services LLC in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Case Manager to provide support to residents, develop program plans, and apply evidence-based practices. Under supervision, you will train others, maintain confidential files, coordinate housing and employment, and ensure safety and compliance while contributing to successful reentry outcomes.

Responsibilities include conducting intakes, developing measurable criteria, monitoring progress, and collaborating with Job Developers to verify

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or equivalent experience preferred.
• Substance abuse or domestic violence certification or ability to become certified preferred.
• One year experience as a Monitor or two years of work experience in a related field.
• Familiar with community corrections reentry systems and current practices.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• May perform the duties of a Monitor including resident intakes, check-ins, breath analysis and drug screens.
• Prepares written personalized programs for each resident to establish measurable criteria and a timeframe for goals.
• Reviews plan with residents weekly and documents progress for successful re-entry.
• Assists residents to establish personal budget, housing, education, and employment opportunities.
• Monitors facility sanitation and safety and assigns daily housekeeping chores.
• Counsels residents and verifies job placements in cooperation with the Job Developer.
• Prepares terminal reports upon resident release and participates in staff meetings to improve operations.
