Job summary

The Salvation Army Mesquite Service Center is seeking a dedicated case worker to assess needs, create case plans, and provide essential services to low-income and at-risk families. You will maintain records for EFSP, SHARE and REACH programs, lead budgeting classes, and support pantry operations.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and ability to work with diverse populations. A valid Nevada driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews, assess needs, and develop case plans.
• Provide case management and needed services to low-income and/or at-risk individuals/families in compliance with program policies.
• Prepare and submit required reports to coordinators in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate program records of EFSP, SHARE and REACH programs, as well as volunteers and vendors.
• Write accurate case notes for each client.
• Lead and teach budgeting, banking and basic life skills classes.
• Assist with seasonal events and drives as needed.
• Work in food pantry; assist clients, stock shelves and bag food.
