Freight Flex is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to join our team and help build and manage strong relationships with our carrier network. This role involves sourcing qualified carriers, negotiating rates, booking and tracking freight, and ensuring shipments move efficiently and successfully.

Qualifications

• Experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or carrier sales.
• 1+ year in sales, recruiting, customer service, or relationship management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable making a high volume of calls and negotiating.
• Competitive, motivated, goal-oriented mindset.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn transportation technology and internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Source, onboard, and develop relationships with carrier partners.
• Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability while maintaining service expectations.
• Resolve role-related issues quickly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate shipment and carrier records within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Monitor market trends, lane pricing, and carrier capacity conditions.
• Build long-term carrier partnerships through consistent communication and reliability.
• Collaborate with Sales Account Executives and operations teams to support shipment needs.

About the Role

This role is responsible for sourcing qualified carriers, negotiating competitive rates, booking and tracking freight, and ensuring our customers' shipments are moved efficiently and successfully.

• Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability while maintaining service expectations.
• Resolve role-related issues quickly and professionally.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or carrier sales preferred
• 1+ year of sales, recruiting, customer service, or relationship-management experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and conducting negotiations
• Competitive, motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
