RXO, Inc. is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative in Northbrook, IL. You will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move freight efficiently while maintaining strong carrier relationships and ensuring timely, cost-effective transportation.

Key tasks include coordinating with carriers and customers, updating systems, and monitoring route changes. A minimum of one year in carrier sales and transportation, plus two years in sales or customer service, is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of carrier sales experience.
• 1 year of transportation experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while functioning independently within authorized limits

Responsabilités

• Cultivate strong carrier relationships and negotiate to secure carriers for freight moves.
• Maintain communication with carriers and customers to ensure smooth, cost-effective freight movements.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, or issues as needed.
• Schedule pickup and delivery times considering weather, traffic, and service rules.
• Follow procedures regarding HVS/HRC loads to protect shipment integrity and RXO branding.
• Update information in company operating systems accurately.
• Research databases for potential leads and perform cold calls.
• Track billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are correct.
