Job summary

• 1 year of transportation experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
• The ability to exercise judgment and discretion while functioning independently within authorized limits.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers for high-quality freight movement.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, or freight concerns as necessary.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times considering weather, traffic, and service rules.
• Follow established procedures regarding loads to ensure shipment integrity and RXO brand.
• Maintain and update information in the company’s operating systems.
• Research in databases for potential leads; make cold calls to prospects.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are accurate.
