Job summary

Redwood Logistics is seeking an Experienced Carrier Sales and Operations representative in Austin, TX. You will identify, source, and develop strong carrier relationships to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while upholding Redwood's operational excellence.

3+ years in carrier sales in logistics, strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, and a results-driven mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven success in a Carrier Sales position within the logistics industry.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible; able to adjust to market conditions and company needs.
• Knowledge of carrier relationships and rate negotiation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and develop strong carrier relationships to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain carrier profiles through research and networking to align with Redwood truckload sales opportunities.
• Engage carrier partners by phone, targeting high activity to grow coverage.
• Negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate available customer freight with motor carrier equipment and Redwood postings.
• Provide ongoing service and support to motor carriers to strengthen partnerships.
• Resolve issues timely to uphold Redwood’s exceptional customer service.
• Track shipments and address delays or issues during transit.
• Verify freight charges and ensure accurate billing prior to payment to carriers.
