Redwood Logistics is seeking an experienced Carrier Sales and Operations professional to source and develop carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and ensure operational excellence within a hybrid on-site Chicago team. You will engage with carriers daily, manage capacity, and drive profitability while delivering exceptional customer service across North America and Mexico.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven success in a Carrier Sales position within the logistics industry.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible; ability to change focus quickly to meet the demands of market conditions and/or company needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source and develop strong carrier relationships.
• Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability.
• Maintain carrier profiles through research and networking.
• Engage with carrier partners by phone (80+ dials/day).
• Coordinate freight with available carrier equipment.
• Provide timely service and support to motor carriers.
• Track shipments and address delays.
• Verify freight charges and resolve payables discrepancies.
• Develop new carrier relationships to expand capacity.
