Job summary

Redwood Logistics seeks a Flatbed Carrier Sales and Operations Representative in Austin, TX. This full-time onsite role transitions to a hybrid schedule after completing our training program, with four in-office days and one remote day weekly.

You will build relationships with flatbed motor carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure top-tier service while earning base salary in the $50k–$60k range plus commissions; OTE $100k+ for high performers.

Qualifications

• At least two years in a Carrier Sales role within a brokerage.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and able to shift focus with market/needs.
• Experience in logistics planning, routing or dispatch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of flatbed modal experts.
• Drive profitability and service levels on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Provide and negotiate rates with motor carriers.
• Develop and maintain a book of flatbed shipments.
• Coordinate carrier fleets with customer shipments and ensure service levels.
• Verify freight charges and BL; resolve payables discrepancies.
• Monitor BL discrepancies and arrange return of commodities.
• Learn and troubleshoot real-time operational issues.
