Shamrock Trading Corporation, in partnership with Ryan Transportation, seeks a Carrier Sales Intern for a 10-week program. The role involves prospecting, cold calling, and qualifying carrier accounts across the United States and Canada, with a focus on building a robust carrier network and delivering excellent service.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, excel in a fast-paced environment, and pursue a degree in business or related fields; graduation expected in Dec 2027 or May 2028.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant degree in business, sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, supply chain management, economics.
• Expected graduation Dec 2027 or May 2028, as noted in the candidate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new carriers to join the Ryan Transportation carrier network
• Develop long-term relationships with shippers and carriers
• Build and manage existing carrier network to meet shipping needs
• Improve customer service, transit times, and transportation costs
• Coordinate logistics activity including scheduling arrival dates and delivery appointments
• Track and trace orders and complete load-related paperwork
• Learn and perform processes from negotiation to building sales relationships
• Support Account Management to secure capacity and provide best service
• Refine processes to stay competitive in relevant industries
• Perform other duties as assigned
