Job summary

C.H. Robinson Worldwide is seeking a Carrier Representative to connect the world through technology and keep freight moving. In this role you will build and strengthen relationships with carriers, coordinate shipment movement, and negotiate rates to ensure on-time delivery.

You will work in a fast-paced office environment with in-office onboarding and a schedule that may require weekday presence. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.
• Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency.
• Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute capacity procurement by calling carriers, negotiating rates, and making buying decisions.
• Develop and maintain carrier relationships through calls, emails and visits.
• Coordinate shipment updates with internal partners and leadership as needed.
• Ensure capacity meets load requirements within cost parameters and market rates.
• Drive quality and automation initiatives in carrier activities and comply with trading rules.
