Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of experience in related logistics or transportation.
• Ability to communicate with credibility and build customer relationships.
• Moderate Excel skills and the ability to learn required software.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation events and enhance carrier utilization for on-time deliveries.
• Manage inbound and outbound documentation for drivers/loads for accuracy.
• Proactively confirm orders with pickup/delivery information in the system.
• Work with customers on forward-looking order commitments and scheduling.
• Analyze carrier portfolio to identify strengths and coverage gaps.
• Negotiate best rates and resolve issues escalated when needed.
• Research new carriers, generate leads and qualify carrier relationships.
• Communicate daily with carriers to ensure availability and rates.
• Track loads in Macropoint/GPS and minimize accessorials.
• Address pending carrier claims and improve pod profitability.
